What Resets When You Depart on an Expedition?
Full list of what you lose vs. keep when departing an ARC Raiders Expedition — gear, blueprints, workshop, currencies, and what stays on your account.
Departing an Expedition is intentional prestige: you trade most of what you built on that Raider for permanent account upgrades and stacking temporary boosts (if you stay on cadence). This page is a planning checklist — always trust in-game tooltips and official patch notes over any fan site.
Typically resets (character / run progress)
The exact list can shift with patches, but players usually expect to lose:
- Weapons, armor, and attachments held on that Raider.
- Consumables and materials in inventory tied to the departing character.
- Stash contents counted toward the expedition economy for that cycle (turn the rest in or spend it before you commit).
- Blueprints unlocked on that Raider.
- Workshop / bench progression tied to that character where the game ties it to the reset.
- Character level — you start the climb again on a fresh Raider progression path.
If you are unsure about a specific currency or token, open the Expedition screen in-game and read the departure summary before you confirm.
Typically persists (account-level)
Again, confirm live UI text, but permanent expedition rewards commonly include:
- Skill points granted for completing departure objectives (subject to caps and catch-up rules).
- Extra stash slots or other account-wide unlocks advertised as permanent for that expedition line.
- Cosmetic rewards flagged as account cosmetics rather than character-only items.
Temporary boosts (XP, Scrappy, repair value) stack when you keep departing each cycle and can fall off if you miss a window — see rewards.
Squad and social
Party composition does not “reset,” but everyone’s personal inventories and progression still follow their own departure choice. Coordinate who is departing this window before you dump shared loot.
Before you click depart
- Read How the Expedition works.
- Compare Expedition 3 requirements against your stash.
- Check rewards so you know what you are gaining.
- Watch the countdown so you do not miss the window.
